Prezzybox.com Dream team…

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Hello folks,

It’s now become traditional for the staff, friends, marketing partners and customers to get involved in the Prezzybox.com Dream team Mini League.

Well, the league has finished and it’s been a close run thing…

Your’s truely made it on to the podium, whilst some of the staff (Scoopers not so doopers) we’re within touching distance of the Wooden Spoon.
Congratulations go to my buddy Paul Wheatly (AKA Moosehead). Reminiscent of a 1980’s Seb Coe, he played the race like a dream, waited till the final bend and then snuck in to take the honours. Gyt.

This week at PB HQ…

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Hello good people of Blogsville,

I hope you are all well. It’s been quite exciting this week at prezzybox. Nothing particular has happened, however there’s lot of things on the horizon…

New Staff

We’ve got a couple of new staff starting next week. Craig, will be assisting Tony (T-Bone) in the IT Department, and Vickie will be assisting Ben in the Marketing Dept. To be honest we normally employ people in June and this is to enable us to start getting prepared for the Christmas rush! I know this sounds daft, but we really do have to start getting prepared for Christmas early (fail to prepare, prepare to fail).

Project Y

Project X has had to be put on the back burner for a little while, so I thought the sensible thing to do would be to bring out project Y!! I can’t say anything about this yet, but this is the project I’ve been most excited about since the formation of Prezzybox. I’ll keep you posted.

Goats

Myself and Barney - aka ‘Victor Meldrew’ Judith Chalmers, I am Gor -  have been locking horns over the issue (pun obviously intended!!).

To cut a long story short… the end. However, to cut a short story that little bit longer…

You may or may not know that we are based in a farm house. Outside we have a paddock and a garden which obviously needs maintaining. So, Scoops, came up with the ingenious idea of getting a couple of goats to chomp on the grass to their hearts content. Everyone is very excited about this (especially Polly) with the exception of Barney who really doesn’t want them. So, what do you think? Should we rock the boat and get them anyway?

Being a goat friendly company, we are obviously looking into the rearing of goats and Barney goes on holiday for 2 weeks on the 11th, so watch this space. ;-)

As always, I shall try and blog more frequently.

Toodlepip.

Zak.

9 Syllable Celebrity

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Not a phrase you can say when you’re half cut!

Morning folks,

Scoops - our Customer Services manager - has her own blog called Shopping Scoop. It’s a really good read and we’re all very impressed it.

The latest piece she’s written asks the question

“are there any celebrities with 9 syllables in their name?”

Easy so you’d think… In practice this isn’t the case. There’s Leonardo De Caprio (8) and various other 8 lsyllabled A listers, but for the life of us, we couldn’t think of one with 9.

Can you?

Barney - who surprised everyone in the office by turning up to work yesterday - was disqualified from the competition for citing “The Artist formerly known as Prince”, but obviously we all know his real name is symbol!

If you can think of anybody please comment below as it’s driving us nuts!

Cheers,

Zak.

Great new product - Picoo Z Micro Helicopter

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to introduce not only the smallest and lightest miniature Infra Red controlled Helicopter in the World, but also the hottest Big Boys Toy!…

Oh yessiree, check out the Picoo Z Micro Helicopter. Coming in at only 17cm long and weighing no more than 10 grams, this ready to fly remote control helicopter really is great fun. Me and the missus had one on at home over the weekend and once you get the hang of it, you’ll love it. It’s quality.

The best thing is that it comes in 3 bands so you can race against your buddies - hence the Picoo Z wars we are having at Prezzybox.com this Friday afternoon!! Hopefully a video of the events shall follow shortly…

‘Me’ live on Viking FM

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

Hello folks,

I’ve been out the office for a week or so - down in the big Smoke at an exhibition and for meetings etc. I couldn’t (or shall we say wouldn’t - but that’s another blog entry for later) get internet access so this has been my first real opportunity to get back to blogsville.

Also, I must admit I hit the blogging ‘wall’ (similar to the Marathon Wall only for bloggers not joggers) but thanks to my good buddy Fraser I’ve got stacks of subjects to talk about now so hopefully I’ll be blogging to gay abandon over the next few weeks.

Today I wanted to tell you about  a recent radio interview I conducted. It was a Radio Interview on Viking FM and it was all to do with Facing your phobias. We sell a product called Face Your Phobia which allows you to face all sorts of slippery and creepy things at the Paradise Wildlife Park in Herfordshire and ‘face your phobia’. Clever eh!

Anyhoo, you can check out the interview by clicking the link below. I’m the one speaking the Queens English!!
