Should we accept Paypal?
Hello folks,
Just a quicke. We’ve been approached by our PSP - Payment Service Provider - who basically are the facility which allows us to take the money for our customers orders. They’ve set up a deal with Paypal, which in short means we can integrate Paypal into our checkout.
I can’t think of too many disadvantages and the advantage is that we can open ourselves up to customers who don’t necessarily have bank/credit cards or those who prefer to pay through Paypal.
As long as this tracks for our marketing partners and affiliates, and as long as the costs are not too prohibitive, then it sounds like a decent idea. However, I could be wrong…
What do you think? Your comments would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Zak.

This website - http://www.paypalsucks.com - has some information about the negatives, though it may be somewhat biased.
I use PayPal in conjunction with Google Checkout on one of my sites and PayPal is consistently more popular.
From a consumer perspective, it wouldn’t affect my decision to order, though if PayPal is offered in conjunction with traditional processing, I usually opt for PayPal.

I say have as many options as possible. If there are no disadvantages, why not.
