We’re getting very excited at Prezzybox HQ because starting tomorrow, its Breast Cancer Month! We’re all taking on a challenge and it’s going to be great.

We’re raising money for St Giles hospice which is a local hospice that cares for patients with cancer as well as other terminal illnesses providing those affected with a great quality of life and a great amount of care. Hospices are expensive to run and don’t always get enough money from the government, that’s where we come in.

If you’re wondering what your sponsorship pennies will buy, here’s the breakdown:

£5 provides a nutritious meal for a patient on the In-Patient Unit

£10 Will help one of our patiente feel relaxed and refreshed in one of our special baths

£20 Enables a patient to recieve a complimentary therapy session

£50 Will provide a bereavement councelling session to a child or an aduld who has lost a loved one.

£75 Allows a child recieving treatment by our specialist Lyphoedema Clinic to wear made to measure hosiery

£100 Enables one of our Community Team Nurses to make a home visit to a patient

£125 Will find the cost of a clinic appointment to the Lyphoedema Clinic

£250 Provides 24 hours of dedicated specialist Hospice at home care for patients at the very end of life

£500 Covers the cost for an admission to the In-Patient Unit.

£1,000 Will run the Day hospice for one day enabling up to 10 patients to recieve specialist care and support and develop new skills to enhance their quality of life.

We’re getitng ready for Breast Cancer Month here at Prezzybox. Starting next week, all our staff are starting some crazy sponsored activities.  from bike riding to tattoos to skydiving, and I’ll be keeping you all posted right here.

It all kicks off next wednesday, the first of October, when our bikers begin their 100 mile in a month challenge! Our slimmers will also be putting away the chocolate and enduring their first weigh-in.

Hey there

It’s not often that we give you little sneak previews here on the blog, but we’re really excited about this. One of our favourite homeware superstars from the past is here, in miniature form. That’s right fans, Henry The Hoover is in Prezzybox Headquarters right now. And if you don’t believe us, here’s photographic proof.

He may be a little smaller than we remember, but we love his handy size. He just loves to clean up our desks, and we love to let him. Keep an eye out, he’ll be live on the mighty box soon!

Well, we’ve had an eventful lunchtime here at Prezzybox HQ.

As you’ll know, there’s always a pot of something at the back that hasn’t been  used in a while and just seems to linger. The same thing happens in our fridge. Today was the fateful day that Nicky decided to clear it out.

Out came a few pots of cheese spread. then a few more. then a few more, like a woman possesed, she rifled through the fridge trying to find all of the cheese spread that lurked within. All were out of date, the oldest went out of date in April this year. 7 tubs in total, 4 yoghurts had gone off in August and one pot of radioactive yoghurt had been here since 2006.

So, what horrors did these pots of expired cheese contain? Scroll on, these images are in chronological order…

Gross. The yoghurt has lasted surprisingly well though

Well that was our lunchtime. Feels better to have that lot in the bin!

Believe it or not, folks, but we’ve been getting ready for Christmas for a very long time now.

In July, we went to London to showcase all our best gifts at the Christmas in July trade show. We made some new friends and had a lot of fun. We’ve even put together a little video for you so that you can see what we got up to and what’s going to be bulging in your Christmas stockings this year. Only 104 days to go you know!

Hey Guys

Prezzybox HQ has been buzzing today, we’ve all been getting excited about Breast Cancer! Not that we like Breast Cancer, but we’re all geared up to raise loads of cash for Breast Cancer month in October.

We’ve chosen to donate our money to St Giles’ Hospice which is fairly local to us and does some great work with local cancer patients.  

So, what are we doing to convince you wonderful people to give a bit of money to make a massive difference? Well we’ve not all decided yet, but so far…

Sharon is going to lose a stone

Bianca, Nikki and Jimi are going to ride 100 miles on their bikes

And last but by no means least, Zak, our MD is going to do everything! Thats right, everything on the list including his very own Tandem Skydive!
