Prezzybox Vidiboxes - new to marketing in the UK

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Hello folks,

I hope you are well.

Just a quickie really to shout about the merits of our “new to UK marketing” Vidiboxes.

For those of you who havn’t seen them, the Vidiboxes are Video Content Units placed in banners for our partners and Affiliates to use on their sites - pretty neat eh!! All the site owner need do is place a bit of html code onto your site, in the same way you would put on a standard banner, and voila! They’ll have a Video Banner for their website. For example check out this site. They’ve used our Vidiboxes and content units and (OK, I’m biased) but I really do think it helps to make the site look very professional and provides some nice interactivity for the user.

Here’s some details of the Vidboxes…

We’re really excited about these and are really keen for our partners and affiliates to use them on their own websites. We’ve now got Vidiboxes in the following sizes for a number of our best selling lines:

  • 175 wide -  for example Oidz Vidibox
  • 400 wide - for example Ripstik Vidibox
  • 500 wide - Test Tube Aliens Vidibox
  • Conversion rate has gone up considerably on our site with the introduction of our own Video Clips, and we’re hopeful that it will do the same for our partners and affiliates. It is evident that video really helps to sell products as it gives the website user greater interactivity as well a professional product demonstration.

We’ve got loads of product videos on the site, which we are planning to convert to Vidiboxes. You can see them all by clicking here.

    We hope you like them.

    Cheers all.

    Zak.

    A question for Affiliates…

    Monday, March 12th, 2007

    Hello Affiliates,

I hope you are well. I’ve a quick question for you all. What value do you place on Prezzybox (and other merchants) putting together generic creative and content such as our recent Mothers Day campaign (you can have a look at it by clicking here)? The reason I ask is that the design/content took a few days to put together for 2 of our design/techy team (Ben and Bianca) and from my initial investigations there aren’t that many affiliates that viewed the thread (54 with no replies) or that are using the creative.

Please don’t see this as me being negative. I’m not. For those that know me I’m very PRO affiliates and feel that they are an integral part of our business model. Moreover, what I’m trying to say is…

“could we be doing something more worthwhile with our time to assist affiliates?”

As I say, we are very pro affiliates and are therefore keen to enhance how we work with them. We will always put together creative and content for each of the relevant occassions, but would we be better off telling our affiliates that we have this service available and we can do something specifically tailored towards individuals needs?

Any food for thought would be very much appreciated folks…

    Zak.
